Star Communities
This is a developing webpage where people can come to see examples of successful communities that may serve as templates for the rest of humanity to follow in the creation of their own Star Community.
.
Star Communities, was a US organization that evaluated over 100 communities who  participated in their Star Rating system. It was the organization’s mission to address the needs of U.S. cities, towns and counties seeking a common framework for sustainability. Because these communities had been acknowledged for excellence using 44 objectives and more than 500 outcome and action measures, they offered valuable templates for other communities to utilize.
.

In late 2018, the STAR Community Rating System was integrated into the U.S Green Building Council (USGBCLEED for Cities and LEED for Communities programs. This integration helped advance healthy, green and economically strong cities and communities.
